Family, Family……

Family, Family……

I thought I would share a few photos we took back in December for our Christmas card. I took a few of my Brother, Sister in law, and sweet nephew Káel. They snapped a few of us together. My dress I'm wearing was my great grandmother best Sunday dress. Isn't it so lovely? I hope you enjoy these! ;) These are edited with VSCO Film from Visual Supply Jessica makes these dolls. Check out her website for information on ordering them! ;)   Read More

Katie & Corey’s Wedding

Katie & Corey’s Wedding

Katie & Corey have been so beautiful to work with. They met at Queens University and I got to know them during their engagement session (here) Their day started at the Westin Hotel in uptown Charlotte, Ceremony was at Caldwell Presbyterian Church, and Reception at the Pewter Rose. It was an absolutely perfect October day! Congrats Katie & Corey! Thank you so much for letting me photograph your day! Y'all have been super special to work with. And a special thanks to my 2nd shooter Kate Gazaway. ;) <3   As soon as Katie's brother came out to take pictures she burst into tears. Soooo... sweet. Katie has twin nephews....... Read More

Drew & Elizabeth Anne Engagement

Drew & Elizabeth Anne Engagement

Drew & Elizabeth Anne are great friends of Matthew & Lauren (See wedding here). Elizabeth Anne wanted to do their engagement session at her childhood home in Gastonia. It's being sold and the property holds dear memories for her. A big red barn, a sweet white home, her mother's rose garden (her mom passed away a few years ago,) her horse, her twin labs, and a beautiful little pasture.  I almost choked up when she told me how much it meant to her. Their wedding is next June in uptown Charlotte at the Charlotte City Club. Exciting!! ;D Congrats Drew & Elizabeth Anne!   *Bottom photo: I didn't photoshop this photo to look like this. I brightened it a bit.... Read More

Bahama Beaches and Blizzard Biking

Bahama Beaches and Blizzard Biking

Yeah, so it's been a very long time since I've done a very personal blog. And by the end of this you may feel like you've become connected with what October was like for me. But, it's your choice as to how far you keep scrolling. You won't hurt my feelings. As I said last year, fall always has the way of making you feel reminisc(ee)--haha! As soon as pumpkins start coming out and color starts happening on my front yard trees, I want to kick up the leaves and remember this year. It has been an extremely insane year. Busy, busy, busy. And I don't think that "busy" for the sake of "busy" is necessarily a virtue. It doesn't make me sound cool saying... "Oh, I've been so busy." But the truth is,... Read More

Matthew & Lauren’s Wedding

Matthew & Lauren’s Wedding

Perfect October fall day. Color everywhere. Blue skies, slight breeze.... mmmm.... Matthew and Lauren were so blessed to have the most perfect day for their wedding. I can't tell you all how excited I have been about this wedding. Lauren and I have become friends the last year in a half.  Shooting her day and being around her family felt like family. (See their E-session here) Through this whole process Matthew and Lauren have not only been amazing clients but great friends to my husband and I (I love that story!) Sooo.... their ceremony took place at Central Church of God here in Charlotte, NC. And their reception was at the beautiful Anne Springs Close Greenway at the red barn on... Read More

Andrew & Daphne Wedding

Andrew & Daphne Wedding

Daphne and Andrew's wedding took place at the end of August at Freedom Park in Charlotte, NC.  The Ceremony and Reception took place on the parks island under lovely willow trees, very breezy (effects from Hurricane Irene) and blue sky. It was gorgeous. Really great.  If you haven't already seen Daphne & Andrew's engagement session - check it out here. Daphne and Andrew have such great taste. All their details were handmade and so romantic. The smallest things made the biggest difference in decorating. Simple and romantic. I loved, loved, loved shooting their day. Daphne pretty much has the best facial expressions when she is happy and excited. I loved it. She was/is a beautiful bride.... Read More
