If you didn’t see part one of Kevin and Lindsay’s dreamy weekend, click here.
So I’ve been dying to show you some of my favorite images from one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve been able to shoot. This is the venue and property of “The Inn at Palmetto Bluff.” It is a dream, everywhere you look.
Kevin and Lindsay had cottages on the property where they got ready, their ceremony took place at the small chapel on the property, the cocktail hour was on the lawn in front of the water and the reception was in the ballroom of the club house.
I feel like Jesus just smiled on us all, as we had the most amazing weather, light, and the perfection of sweet, sweet moments. I’m in awe and still floored at how amazing this day was for me, my second shooter, and my assistant.
I hope everyone loves these images as much as I do.
Congrats, Lindsay & Kevin! Thank you so very much for letting us be there on your wedding day!
So, where do I start? Wow! I mean… look above… yep.
I met Lindsay about 5 years ago. She was one of the managers that I worked with at Anthropologie. Never would I have dreamed that years later I would be shooting her magical weekend at “The Inn at Palmetto Bluff.” When she wrote me and told me that they wanted to book me, I was extremely excited. We all sat down and Skyped together. (They live in Seattle, but are real-life Carolinians.) I immediately knew this weekend would be so incredible.
Their story in a nut shell is that Lindsay caught Kevin’s eye when she was working at a deli that he went to every day across the street from his work. He finally got the nerve to ask her out… and the rest is pretty much sweetness.
So to start the weekend off right, I showed up at the venue that they had booked (The Inn at Palmetto Bluff) and my assistant and I pretty much drove around with our jaws dropped. UN-FREAKIN-REAL! So, so so magical.
Back in the winter, Lindsay and Kevin planned a trip to Charlotte where I was supposed to do an engagement session. Well… their time was limited and they ended up not being able to do it. Thankfully, it worked out so that I could take a few portraits of them after their rehearsal leading up to their rehearsal dinner.
Their outfits were to die for, their smiles and laughs made this short session a breeze… oh, and the trees… goodness.
Their rehearsal dinner was also on the property of their venue, and they had a super fun, sassy southern dinner. Completely different than their wedding day.
So, here is the first part of an incredible weekend. Enjoy!

Yeeeeeaaahhhh!! Pretty exciting!
I’m so excited and so honored to share that Tirzah Photography has won a Fearless Photographer Award! It’s such a huge accomplishment for me! Here is my profile on Fearless.
When Laura contacted me about shooting her wedding I was so excited! I have never shot on an aircraft carrier before, nor have I ever done a wedding like this before. Completely new ground for me and something fabulous to add to my portfolio. I’ve enjoyed chatting with Laura the last 8 months or so as she’s talked about all the exciting things she wanted to do for photos. She was a smart girl, and let us have plenty of time to take lots of photos of her and Chris.
My friend Julia (Check out her work here) and I spent the weekend in Charleston together. Lots of driving and exploring new things. She was an amazing second shooter for me, I’m blessed to have been able to have her along side of me.
We have quite a few different locations for the portraits we did. We started on the Isle of Palm at The Palm hotel, and then ventured to the out side gate area of Boone Plantation, and then on to the boat.
Laura and Chris, thank you so much for choosing us to shoot your day! We loved it!
PS: Disclaimer, I had to try to tone it down with details of the ship… I mean…. come on…. it was amazing!
