Dustin & Laura’s Wedding
So Laura is a best friend of one of my dearest friends, Ashley Fragas who I’ve known since I was like 7 (maybe?)
Ashley approached me about shooting Dustin and Laura’s December wedding. It was going to be held at the Post Chapel on the Fort Bragg base in Fayetteville, NC. I agreed to it, and was excited to find out that my parents and brother has actually spent some time getting to know Laura in Israel a few years back on a trip. I’m sad to say that I haven’t gotten to know Laura and Dustin hardly at all, but in my brief coffee date with her I found her spirit so charming. She is full of so much beauty and hope. I’m sad they don’t live in the area. Her and Dustin have now relocated up north.
I would like to give a HUGE shout out to my amazing second shooter and assistant- (aka, my husband) He does such an amazing job.
Congrats Dustin & Laura! Thank you for everything!

Matthew & Lauren’s Wedding
Perfect October fall day. Color everywhere. Blue skies, slight breeze…. mmmm…. Matthew and Lauren were so blessed to have the most perfect day for their wedding.
I can’t tell you all how excited I have been about this wedding. Lauren and I have become friends the last year in a half. Shooting her day and being around her family felt like family. (See their E-session here)
Through this whole process Matthew and Lauren have not only been amazing clients but great friends to my husband and I (I love that story!)
Sooo…. their ceremony took place at Central Church of God here in Charlotte, NC. And their reception was at the beautiful Anne Springs Close Greenway at the red barn on a hill. Lauren’s mom decorated the barn with a truck load of of eclectic, vintage antiques. Mason jars personalized with everyone’s name on it. Every table was different and unique. I felt like I was photographing a magazine wedding. The barn was so gorgeous! I loooove shooting details, and what I have here on my blog is the smallest taste of how many details their really were. Gosh! It was heaven.
Another highlight for me on this day was shooting romantic photos of Matthew and Lauren in tall gold grass, and them in the sunset. I felt like flying. They are so easy to photograph. So yes, I’m excited about sharing this wedding with you.
Enough of me rambling…
Congrats Matthew and Lauren! I’m so happy I got to shoot your day, and I’m so happy to have become friends with you guys!
And a special thanks to my close friend and practically my sister twin/2nd shooter- Kori Hoffman. She’s the best!
PS: Lauren’s dress is a Priscilla of Boston and the bridesmaid dresses are Jim Hjelm

Aldo & Stephanie Wedding
Stephanie and Aldo are extremely sweet and sincere people. Its been a wonderful experience working and communicating with these two. Their wedding took place in Chapel Hill, NC on a May day.
If you would like to see you their engagement pictures click here. My assistant and second shooter was Jonathan Volk. We had a great time shooting their day and Chapel Hill is a beautiful campus to shoot on. (Thanks for shooting Jonathan!!)
These are some of my favorites from the day. I will give the disclaimer that I am a sucker for black and white photos and I can’t help that most of my favorites being black and white.
Congrats Stephanie and Aldo!

The photos of Aldo below are Jonathan’s.

The photo below is black and white film from my Canon Elan 7

Aldo is from Mexico, its only appropriate that they had maracas at the reception.

Yeeeeeah!!!!!
Corey & Katie Engagement
Corey and Katie have such a grace about them, and during this session is it was so evident that they truly love each other. They made it super easy for me to photograph them. In October I’ll be shooting their wedding, and they actually found me through google images and I can’t say enough how glad I am that I tag my blog posts.
We decided to do their Engagement session at Queens University Campus where they both went to school and met. I haven’t ever been there before, but I really loved the big trees, large old doors and the gorgeous chapel they took me into.
I hope you all enjoy these photos!
Congrats Katie and Corey, I’m excited about your big day coming soon!

Adam & Sunita Engagement

The photo below was taken through a bus window as it passed. I like it.

Matthew & Lauren Engagement
Lauren contacted me about a year ago. She found my photography through my beautiful sister-in-law being on Girl Meets Gown. Lauren, Matt and I met at a coffee shop last summer and chatted about her plans for a barn wedding filled with antiques. She wanted to do a rustic, country, October wedding. I am really excited about shooting their wedding in October.
The day before this engagement session, Brandon and I went and spent the day with Lauren and her family at the Steeple Chase out near Waxhaw. (I’ll blog my photos from it later!) We had the best time, eating, laughing, sipping sangria’s and watching the horse race. We so enjoyed getting to know Lauren and her family and feeling like we were in the movie “My Fair Lady”. I felt extremely spoiled by getting to watch the horse race from the paddock area.
First week of May we spent a Sunday evening in Waxhaw town, and ventured out in the country to an old general store and massive barn. I was dying, I wanted to shoot everything. The texture was so yummy, and Matt and Lauren were so great to work with. I’m really excited to share these photos. I hope you guys enjoy them!

“A Winter Wedding”- Christina & Anthony’s Wedding Part 2
And here is part 2 of Christina and Anthony’s Winter wedding weekend. (Part 1 is here) Christina is quite the lady enduring bitter temperatures for these photos. I kept saying to both of them… “It will be worth it!” I hope it was.
I had a ton of layers on and my Russian fur hat. I was so warm. I think these photos turned out so lovely. I couldn’t help it, I had to post a ton of Christina, she looked so beautiful. (Her Birthday is tomorrow!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTINA!)
Enjoy!

Jeremy and Elizabeth
Jeremy and Elizabeth are such beautiful people. I grew up with Jeremy, spending so much time with his family. (I took pictures of his niece recently.) Jeremy’s always been like a brother to me growing up and I was so happy when him and Elizabeth started dating six years ago. They got engaged this year and are planning a wedding for summer of 2012. They contacted me about a month ago and wanted me to take some photos of them to celebrate their six year anniversary of being together.
We drove out into the country in Monroe area of North Carolina. Elizabeth had some friends that kindly let us shoot on their lovely piece of land. It was beautiful light and a glorious evening. We found some great texture, old cars, and some sweet lookin’ vines.
I hope you enjoy these!!
Jeremy and Elizabeth I sure love you guys!

Look closely you can see the full moon…
