To end this lovely year, I wanted to share some beautiful images I took of some friends of mine who have been on quite the journey. Joe and Angela have been friends of mine for years. Joe and I have known each other pretty much since we were born. Angela and Joe met on a mission trip that my parents coordinated. They fell in love and we had so much fun watching their love and marriage bloom!! I love these two!

Angela and Joe are brave and amazing and have taken on the adventure of adopting three kids, all siblings. They are beautiful kids who came out of a really rough life. It has had it’s really rough days and really beautiful moments. I’m so proud of them for choosing this and being willing to do what it takes to give these kids a beautiful life.

When I was in Ohio, it snowed, and we ventured out in lake effect snow to take a few portraits of their family. Here are some of my favorites. Happy New Year to all! Prepare to melt…. ;D

Meet Joe, Angela, Jay, Finley, and Leila.

I’ve known Jessica probably longer than any of my current friends. She and I have quite the stories of running around like crazy kids doing God knows what…. while our parents were in the ministry. I could tell you story after story of our crazy childhood. Let’s just say that Jessica’s sister hated babysitting us. ;) We’ve stayed friends through many seasons, many states, many trials, and many hair colors. I love this girl.

Jessica now has the most beautiful family, and I was honored to be able to shoot photos of their family the other night. We were surprised with a rain, a rainbow, crazy clouds, a beautiful sunset and the color of autumn. Here are a few favorites….  I feel like I could have shared all 100 of them, but I’ll spare you. ;)

Graston party12

Rebecca and Jesse were our neighbors for years and years. We had the best snowball fights in the winter, pumpkin carving in the fall, fireworks in the summer and hiking in the spring. Late nights spent doing pranks on our other neighbors, taking long walks around our neighborhood and laughing for hours. We love the Graston’s. Last year they moved a little ways away, to a beautiful farm. They had their first baby and we still miss them living a few doors down. Every now and then we go out to “Grastonia”… shoot guns, go four wheeling, badminton, bbq, and swing on the hammock listening to the peacefulness of farm life.

Their beautiful boy, David turned one this month. I took some photos of this fabulous day! Enjoy! ;D

Happy Birthday David!
