I’ve had the opportunity to photograph and meet up with Drew and Elizabeth Anne quite a bit the last eight months, and it’s been such a joy to work alongside them. Getting to hear their desires and their stories about what would make their wedding day special has been super sweet. I did their engagement session (here), and I tell more about their story on that blog post.
Elizabeth Anne’s mom and dad got married at the First United Methodist Church in Gastonia, NC so long ago, and since Elizabeth Anne’s mom had passed away, it was a very special place for her to marry her lover.
Their reception took place on the top floor of the Charlotte City Club in Uptown Charlotte, NC–an overwhelming, beautiful view to enjoy while celebrating!
They are truly a beautiful, genuine, brilliant couple. And I have really loved having them as clients and friends. I’m simply so happy for them!
There was a little bit of a challenge (which didn’t stop me) in the fact that I was 34 weeks pregnant and shooting my last and final wedding before taking a break. I had my husband there to assist me and shoot along with me. (He took good care of me!) My friend and amazing photographer, Kori Hoffman, was my second shooter. She really covered me, and I don’t know what I would have done without her beautiful images to add to this collection.
Also take a peek if you haven’t already at Elizabeth Anne’s bridal portrait session from back in March, which I photographed in a blooming peach orchard in South Carolina. (here)
Enjoy!! ;D

Update On Me: Since this is my blog… and I blog as much for myself as I do for my clients, business and fans… I had to share this image of me on the dance floor during the wedding. My friend, Kori, snapped this photo as a test. ;D

I’m one day shy of 34 weeks pregnant in the photo. Currently the countdown is on with my due date in four weeks (July 16th.) I’m 36 weeks pregnant yesterday and waddling like a duck. I try to spend as much time as I can swimming and eating watermelon. I have a list to the sky of things I still need to mark off my list. And I’m pretty sure that some of them may never happen. (Like deep cleaning my house! yeeeeahhh… right! I can’t even bend over hardly!) I laugh at myself constantly and make noises getting in and out of my car. I also complain about my aches and pains. (not gonna lie) I must say the only good thing about being pregnant (sorry if you disagree) is feeling your sweet baby move inside. All the other stuff…. I’m good without. It’s not glamorous, no matter what people may say about it. I’m ready for my clothes to fit again and, laugh if you must, but I’m so ready to be skinny again. Lord, have mercy!
This may be the last wedding I blog for a little while for a little while. I have a few other things I want to blog that are personal. But I’m taking a break from shooting weddings for a few months (with the exception my close friend’s wedding in the Hamptons in the Fall…poor me right?) I’m sure I’ll be posting photos of our new little friend when he arrives and I hope to not turn into one of those moms that shares tooooo many images of their sweet child. I may start another blog for the out-of-town family to keep up with our little homie, and if you have the urge to look at ten million photos of my baby, then kudos to you! I won’t mind.
Thanks for reading and looking! And if you pray, pray that I have a sweet, simple, easy delivery of my little Laef. I would appreciate it! Cheers!

Amen to that prayer sister!
Can’t wait to see photos of your little one.
PS: You look stunning! xo
